What does Jina do?

Jina is an autonomous AI QA engineer for pull requests. It maps your code, infrastructure, runtime behavior, and issue history; understands the impact of each change; runs your application to investigate risky paths; and returns a concise issue list with a merge score.

How is Jina different from a static review or coding agent?

Static review agents primarily reason from source code. Jina combines source reasoning with system context and targeted runtime execution. It can test a failure hypothesis against the running application instead of only commenting that a bug might exist.

How does Jina decide what to investigate?

Jina traces impact paths through its context layer. It considers what changed, what depends on it, where similar changes caused problems before, and which real flows touch the affected surfaces. It then prioritizes the paths most likely to break.

Why does Jina use adversarial agents?

Adversarial investigation encourages the system to challenge assumptions, form competing failure hypotheses, and iteratively test the evidence. Jina reviews the resulting evidence before reporting issues, which helps reduce unsupported findings.

Does Jina need production access?

No. Jina can read production signals through integrations you explicitly grant, but probes run in isolated sandboxes against staging or preview deployments. Private VPC and bring-your-own-cloud deployment models are also supported.

What stacks does Jina support?

Jina supports web applications today across frameworks, backends, and clouds. Native mobile and desktop support are on the roadmap. If your application runs in CI, Jina can plug into the review workflow.

How is this different from Synthetic users / Jina QA?

Synthetic users are prompt-driven end-to-end tests that your team authors and maintains. Autonomous PR review decides where a change is risky, runs targeted checks, filters false positives, and reports the issues that matter for that pull request.
